Objective

I can show and talk about a simple tech creation I made. I can celebrate my effort, share my work with trusted people, and remember to follow our family rules for photos, videos, and screens.

Materials

Mini-lesson — Sharing and celebrating tech creations

When we use technology to create, we can make pictures, sounds, stories, or short clips. It feels good to be proud of our work.

What is a tech creation?

  • A drawing you made in a paint or drawing app.
  • A photo you took with help from an adult.
  • A short voice recording of you reading or singing.
  • A tiny video or slideshow you made with a grown-up.

Safe ways to share

  • We show our work to trusted adults and friends, not strangers.
  • We ask before posting anything online.
  • We follow school and family rules about photos and names.

Celebrating effort, not just the device

  • We say: "You tried your best." and notice hard work.
  • Simple projects are just as special as fancy ones.
  • The tablet is just a tool — the ideas come from you.

Staying kind and private

  • We do not share things that might hurt or tease someone.
  • We do not share full names, addresses, or schools with strangers.
  • If we feel unsure, we ask a trusted adult before sharing.

Adults can say: "Today is your tech creation day. We will share your work in safe ways and cheer for your effort."

Guided Practice — Plan your tech celebration

Use this activity to plan a simple "tech creation day" at home or in class.

  1. Help your child pick one tech creation they would like to share (a picture, photo, short recording, or story).
  2. On paper, draw three little icons: a screen, a heart, and a shield. Explain: screen = what I made, heart = how I feel, shield = how we stay safe.
  3. Talk about the screen: "What did you make with tech?" Help your child tell one short sentence about their creation.
  4. Talk about the heart: "How do you feel about your work?" (proud, happy, excited, brave).
  5. Talk about the shield: "Who is it safe to show this to?" Circle trusted people (family, classmates, teacher), and cross out strangers.
  6. Practise saying: "This is my tech creation. I feel proud because I worked hard."
  7. When ready, invite one or two trusted people to watch or look while your child shares. Clap or cheer together.

Tip: As you trace, say a sentence such as "I am proud of my tech creation, and we share it safely."

Practice — My tech creation celebration page

Use this page to help your child record and remember their tech creation day.

  1. On a new page, write the title: "My tech creation celebration".
  2. Ask your child to draw or print a small picture of their tech creation (a screenshot, photo, or simple drawing).
  3. Under the picture, help them finish this sentence: "I made this using ______." (for example: "a drawing app" or "a camera").
  4. Next line: "I feel ______ about my work." (proud, happy, excited, brave).
  5. Add a safety line: "I can share this with ______." Help your child write: "my family", "my class", or "my teacher".
  6. At the bottom, write: "We follow our family rules when we use screens."
  7. Read the page together and clap. You can hang it near your learning area to remember this celebration day.
