Mission Briefing — Writing numbers neatly to 100

In this mission, you will practice writing numbers from 0 to 100 so they are easy to read. Neat numbers help you count, add, and subtract later.

Neat digits (0–9)

  • Keep your digits about the same size.
  • Make them sit on the line (not floating).
  • Close your circles (like 0, 6, 9).

Two-digit numbers

  • Write the tens digit first, then the ones digit.
  • 23 means 2 tens and 3 ones.
  • Do not switch the digits (do not turn 12 into 21).

Tricky digits

  • Make 6 and 9 look different so you do not mix them up.
  • Keep 0 like an oval — not too skinny or too squashed.

Go slow and neat. Clean numbers are easier to check and easier to understand.
