I can find a pattern and tell what number comes next.
A pattern is something that repeats. In number patterns, we look at how the numbers change.

How to find the rule
If you’re not sure, use a number line or the hundred chart to check.

Tap to play and pause.
Pick a rule: add 1, add 2, add 5, or add 10. Start with a number and write the next four numbers using your rule. Say your pattern out loud as you write it. Then trace a few numbers neatly.
Drag the numbers into the correct order.
