I can use the same 3 numbers to make a fact family and write related addition and subtraction facts.
A fact family is a group of facts that use the same 3 numbers.
Fact family rule
Example
If a fact family has 3 numbers, it usually has 4 facts.

Put 8 objects on the table. Split them into two groups (example: 2 and 6). Say the four facts out loud, then write them.
Drag the pieces to make true equations. (Same 3 numbers!)
