✍️ WRITING (40 Lessons)🟡 C. Creative Writing

← Back to Level 1

Tip: Imagine one moment from a dream. Write a short sentence with a capital letter, spaces, and a period.

Objective

I can write a short sentence about a dream using a capital letter to start, finger spaces between words, and a period (.) at the end.

Materials

Think of one thing you saw in a dream: a star, a cloud, the moon, or flying in the sky.

Mini-lesson — Turn a Dream into a Sentence

  1. Choose one dream idea (e.g., star, moon, flying).
  2. Say a simple sentence out loud: “I see a star.”
  3. Start with a capital, use spaces, end with a period.
  4. Read it back. Does it sound finished?

Guided Practice — Trace and Write a Dream Sentence

Trace a focus word, then copy the model sentence. Finally, write your own:

  • Model words: I, dream, about, a, star
  • Copy the model: I dream about a star.
  • Write your own: I dream about a ____. (moon, cloud, bird, kite…)

Use capital I, keep letters on the baseline, and add a period.
