Objective
I can write a simple, safe email with:
- a clear Subject
- a polite Greeting
- a short, on-topic Body (1–3 sentences)
- a friendly Closing and Name
Safety first: I will ask an adult to help, and I will not share personal information (full name, address, school, phone, passwords).
Materials
- Device with email app (with adult supervision)
- Tracing Pad (below) to plan subject and sentences
Tip: Think who you’re writing to and why. Keep it short and kind.
Mini-lesson — Parts of a Safe Email
- Subject: What the email is about in a few words. Subject: Field Trip Question
- Greeting: Say hello politely. Hi Ms. Rivera,
- Body: 1–3 short sentences. I forgot the permission slip. May I bring it tomorrow?
- Closing: A friendly sign-off. Thank you,
- Name: First name only (with adult guidance). Sam
- Safety: Ask an adult; never send private info; be kind and clear.
