I can plan and write a short project piece that encourages people to protect nature, using a clear main idea, strong reasons with simple facts, and a call to action (what readers can do today).
Materials
Pencil ✏️ and paper (or tablet)
Tracing Pad (below)
Simple organizer: Problem → Why it matters → What we can do
Tip: Think about the 3 Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), saving water, planting trees, or keeping habitats clean.
Mini-lesson — How to persuade others to protect nature
Main idea: State the problem and your stance. Example: “We must protect our parks from litter.”
Reasons + simple facts: Explain why it matters (animals, water, air, health). Add small facts or examples.
Clear solutions: Show what kids/families can do now (bring a reusable bottle, join a clean-up, sort recycling).
Call to action: End by inviting the reader to act today.
Voice: Use friendly but confident words; transitions like first, next, also, finally help flow.
Video won’t be included when printing.
Guided Practice — Trace key words & plan
Trace these key words, then sketch a short outline for your piece:
